A native North Carolinian dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Chrystal Harris Haywood is a non-clinical physician who attended undergrad at Wake Forest University and medical school & family medicine residency at East Carolina University. Back in 2012, frustrated by the challenges she and other clinicians faced to find success and fulfillment in a medical lifestyle, Chrystal embarked on a mission to provide evidence-based resources and tools to improve the doctoring experience. Since then, she has coached individuals and groups, provided consultation for medical practices, and hosted virtual and in-person events to support clinician well-being and to help make their career and personal choices work best for them.
Taking to heart one of her mentor's mantra: Always a physician but not only a physician, Chrystal is a medical consultant and certified life coach with a concentration in Life Optimization and a facilitator of "The 8 Essentials of Performance and Achievement" with a coaching certification in "The Foundations of Woman-centered Coaching" from the Institute of Woman-centered Coaching, Training and Leadership. Her favorite past-times are reading poetry, watching sci-fi movies and playing board games with her husband David and 3 wonderful children. |
